A headshot of Joey Clark with a teal background.Where are you located, and what is your favorite thing about it?

I am located in Richmond, VA! My favorite thing about Richmond is the local food scene. There are tons of awesome restaurants for anything that you’re craving. Shoutout Jack Brown’s, the best burger & beer spot!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My absolute favorite thing to do in my spare time is to go to the beach with my wife, Casey, and our two goldens, Augie and Millie. I love playing soccer, watching sports, reading a good book, going for a run, playing golf, hitting a brewery, seeing live music, and just enjoying good company!

Have any bucket list items?

I would really love to travel across Europe and also take a trip to Japan. There are a few specific things that are included there, but one is to have a pint of Guinness in Dublin. Domestically, it’s always been a goal of mine to do a cross-country road trip – or even a few smaller trips – in a camper or overlanding rig.

What’s your passion project?

My passion project is to just be really intentional and build something out of life that I will be really proud of one day.

Why did you pick Mad Fish Digital?

I really liked everything that MFD was about. When I was looking into the company and the role, I could really tell that they cared about the little things and were really genuine people. When I started meeting the team, I could instantly tell that these weren’t just words on their website.

What is your favorite genre of music to listen to while you work?

This really depends on the day for me! If I need deep focus or to get in a rhythm, I’m leaning into House music. If I’m doing lighter work, I’m going Buffett, Eagles, Zeppelin, Floyd, Dead. I listen to classic rock most consistently!

Share a fun fact about yourself!

I share a name and birthday with my dad! Not too crazy, but it’s definitely special to us.

If you have a pet, tell us about them.

I have two dogs and I’ll talk about them all day if given the chance! They are both golden retrievers – Augie is 5 and Millie is 6 months old. They both love the beach and the water. They will swim, surf, and fish all day and no, I’m not exaggerating, they actually surf and fish! Augie is named after the famous surfer from the movie The Endless Summer, Robert August. Millie is slightly less creative, named after the golden nectar that is Miller Lite (also my wife thought Millie was cute). When they aren’t going crazy they love cuddling and getting scritches and treats 🙂

What do you add to the team outside of work?

I try to bring a sort of energy to the table that I hope makes people enjoy working together or just being at work in general. It can be really hard to have connections when you’re fully remote, so I try to at least make it easy to have meetings or communicate with me! Even if it’s just with an emoji, the little things can go a long way!
