We’re stoked to have Micah on the team! He came to us through the Emerging Leaders Internship program. It’s only his first month, but he’s already making waves with his cheerful attitude and sharp eye for editing. Welcome to the team, Micah! Get to know him better in our interview below.

Where did you go to school?

George Fox University (Class of 2018)

What did you major in?

Where are you from?

Born in Killeen, TX, but spent most of my life moving around the Portland Metropolitan area.

Favorite PDX spot?

Departure Restaurant & Lounge (Crispy Pork Belly is hands down my favorite dish to this day)

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love working on/modding my car (Subaru BRZ), playing video games, hanging out friends and staying up to date with the latest street fashion trends.

Favorite podcast (or media organization if you don’t have a show in particular)?

Unfortunately, I have never listened to or subscribed to a podcast, but that just gives a reason to start now!

Bucket list item.

Travel to Europe.

Why did you pick Mad Fish?

It seems that Mad Fish is a community centered on collaboration and having genuine communication to not only clients, but coworkers as well. It is an environment I am excited to work in!

Favorite genre of music to work to/link to your favorite Spotify playlist to listen to at work?

You may think I’m crazy, but I generally do not listen to music while I am working/focusing on something. As I sometimes find the lyrics/music in my ears to be distracting. BUT, when I do listen to music, I appreciate all types but gravitate the most towards hip hop and R&B, and variations of the sorts.

Fun fact about yourself.

I love to dance and have done breakdance and hip-hop competitions/shows in the past.

What can you add to the team outside of work?

An optimistic attitude, an eagerness to learn and hopefully some fun!
