We are so excited to welcome Autumn to the Mad Fish team. Her passion for learning and volunteer work inspire us every day. Learn more about her below.

Where are you located and what is your favorite thing about it?

While I’m originally from Northern Virginia, I am currently located in downtown Columbia, SC! I love to see the emphasis that this city places on small, local businesses – there’s so many unique spots to discover.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I tend to pick up a new hobby, become 100% invested in it, then quickly find another cool thing I want to try too. It leads to plenty of hobbies, but that’s a good thing since it’s for fun! I love to bake, read, hike, and travel to new places (near or far). I also am a community advocate and volunteer with organizations for reproductive rights, disability justice, and animal welfare.

Have any bucket list item(s)?

Travel both domestically and abroad – there’s so much to see!

What’s your passion project?

Learning new things is my ever-growing passion. Currently, I’m working on a pop art style latch-hook wall hanging for my apartment.

Do you have a pet? Tell us about them.

My beagle/lab mix Mabel is pretty much my whole world. She has the personality of a cat – not super snuggly, very independent, likes to feel tall by jumping on elevated surfaces. That being said, she’s totally my BFF – we hike and travel together, and she’s been a breeze to train.

Why did you pick Mad Fish?

I admire the way Mad Fish is a resource for others looking to market in a values-focused way, from the content we share on our own blog to our B Corp certification. I’m thankful to continue my digital career in a place with an intentional positive impact on our employees, communities, and our clients. I’m looking forward to driving strategic campaigns for our clients and contributing to our overall company goals as a force for good.

Tell us about your favorite marketing resource.

I learn so much from Google’s tools, including their courses and videos.

What is your favorite genre of music to work to?

Depends on the day – sometimes it’s showtunes from musicals I love, sometimes it’s lo-fi background music, or even a podcast.

Share a fun fact about yourself.

I’m pretty handy with grilling and BBQ.

What do you add to the team outside of work?

Too many pictures of Mabel, my ability to make conversation with just about anyone, and a positive attitude.
