We’re always proud to welcome a new team member, and while things are a little wild, now is no exception. Amanda Craig is a native Portlander, enjoys Oregon wine country, and loves a good road trip. As a new client strategist, she’s hopped right into working remotely and driving strategies forward. Cheers to you, Amanda!

Where did you go to school?

University of Oregon – SOJC

What did you major in?

B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Media Studies & Communication

Where are you from?

Born and raised in Portland, OR, which is rare these days!

Favorite PDX spot?

Not quite PDX, but I love spending time in Oregon wine country. Catch me at Domaine Serene enjoying some PNW pinots or at Cana’s Feast sipping on some fine Italian varietals.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m into running, hiking, kayaking, etc. Mostly I try to take advantage of Portland’s beautiful spring/summer weather by spending as much time outside as possible.

Favorite podcast (or media organization if you don’t have a show in particular)?

Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness helps me stay informed and always gives me a laugh!

Bucket list item(s).

Take a road trip across the country – from coast to coast – staying in hotels, camping, and sightseeing along the way.

What’s your passion project?

I am a big animal lover and something I am passionate about is supporting organizations that help pets find their forever home. I hope to someday be able to foster a senior animal who would otherwise spend her remaining years in a shelter.

Why did you pick Mad Fish?

Small black dog with big ears

I was drawn to Mad Fish because it’s clear that the team is made up of great people who truly care about their work and their clients. I’m so happy to be here!

Favorite genre of music to work to/link to your favorite Spotify playlist to listen to at work?

My music taste is really all over the board – my favorite work playlist has to be The Best of Tame Impala. Good vibes but still keeps you focused.

Fun fact about yourself.

I was on a traveling jump rope team from kindergarten – 8th grade! We would perform at different schools in the area and raise money for the American Heart Association.

Do you have a pet? Tell us about them!

This is Francis – I’m a proud dog auntie.

What do you add to the team outside of work?

The PDX food & bev scene is my jam and I’m always happy to share my recommendations. I keep a detailed spreadsheet of all the hot spots, which includes new restaurants, standout menu items, best happy hour deals, etc.
