I work with several marketing consultants and business coaches that refer their clients to me all the time. In order to track this, I could either set up an affiliate program (which costs money and takes time) or create a custom URL for each of my business partners (which is free and takes literally 30 seconds). I used the Google Analytics URL Builder and now I can see in my Analytics how much traffic each of my partners sends me and how many of those visitors become leads.

I have a rule I try not to ever break: I only check my email once a day. By doing this, I free up a lot of time I can use working on my marketing campaigns. But what about when you’re expecting a very important email from someone?
