PPC / SEM Media Manager - Paid Search Strategist

The Paid Search Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of Mad Fish Digital paid advertising clients. This role reports to the PPC Strategist and supports our team of Client Strategists. Our Paid Search Specialist will play an integral role in managing the day-to-day responsibilities in pay-per-click advertising.

Account & Campaign Management

  • Responsible for completing all PPC Set-up, Refresh or Optimization services for new clients

  • Campaign Set up including Settings, Devices, Location, Day Parting, Budget Allocation

  • Ad Group Set up including Ad Group structure, budget allocation

  • Ad Copy Writing and Management including dynamic ad copy when necessary

  • Responsible for the day-to-day performance and success of all Mad Fish PPC accounts

  • Responsible for implementing PPC-related changes as needed throughout the month

PPC Account On-boarding

The Paid Search Specialist will participate in on-boarding meetings with Client Strategists and the PPC Strategist to assist in creating a successful PPC strategy:

  • KPIs to benchmark campaign success

  • Study and learn client messaging standards and ad copy guidelines

  • Review monthly/annual budget; establish plan for prioritizing between campaigns and ad groups based on campaign goals

  • Learn relevant conversion elements

  • Outline client goals and overall PPC account goals

  • Roadmap the general account structure

  • Identify key landing pages

Ongoing PPC Account Support

  • Proactively provide solutions for improving PPC accounts to the PPC Strategist

  • Pull data and statistics upon PPC Strategist request

  • Proactively test campaign changes for potential negative impact of changes

  • Proactively research potential campaign issues and formulate actionable solutions based off of findings

  • Provide strategy recommendations to the PPC Strategist to present new ideas to clients

  • Provide weekly, bi-weekly, monthly updates for each client based on client and Client Strategist need

Requirements / Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year paid search experience preferred

  • Knowledge of basic PPC fundamentals for all search engines

  • Comfortable learning and implementing new paid search tactics and strategies

  • Experience working with AdWords, AdCenter (desktop and Editor platforms) and AdRoll ad platforms

  • Google AdWords certifications preferred

  • Strong communication skills and project management skills

  • Detail oriented, assertive and proactive

  • Adaptable, capable of managing time-sensitive deadlines and prioritizing accordingly
