We’re lucky to have an amazing team at Mad Fish Digital. Lauren is no exception. From orchestrating the upcoming Mad Fish Meet Up series to growing international accounts, she’s never too busy to offer a great activity or lend an insightful book. Find out how she starts her day below!

What is your morning routine?

Other than eating, getting ready, and riding my bike to work, I’ve started squeezing in some “work time” before going to work. Working at home for 30 or 45 helps me get caught up, organized, and get a task or two done without distractions.

How long have you had this routine?

My routine has changed every few years depending on my job, school or location.

Do you do anything before bed to make your morning easier?

I shower at night. This allows me to have a little more time in the morning to get things done.

Do you use an alarm to wake up? What kind/what’s the sound it makes?

I have my phone as an alarm. It makes a buzzing sound and sits on my nightstand.

How soon do you check your phone in the morning?

I’ll quickly check the news and email accounts before heading out. I’ll also check our Mad Fish Slack to make sure there were no office emergencies or work changes.

Do you have breakfast? If so, what?

Yes, usually carb focused – cereal, oatmeal or toast.

How do you take your coffee?

It depends. I push a button at work for coffee, or at home, I’ll make French press or seep a bag of earl grey tea.

How has your morning routine changed over the years?

My breakfast food choices have grown up – no more Pop-tarts or Toaster Strudels. I also used to drive to work, but now commute by bike.

When do you go to sleep?

It changes, but sometime between 10 PM and 11 PM.
